Location: Food Pavilion

The Menapian pig owes its name to a Celtic tribe that lived 2000 years ago in the region between the coast and the Scheldt, known today as Flanders. But it was especially the exceptional taste of the meat that ensured the Menapian pig was praised even by the Romans. By mixing existing old breeds - both pigs and wild boars - the Menapian pig came back to life step by step. The Menapian pig is taking a new start today.
