During the weekend, we invite you to discover and experience the life of tomorrow at the SuperNova Expedition. This unique and interactive expedition spans a total of 16 locations, with more than 120 interactive installations and demos that will amaze you. We invite you to enjoy the surprising music and performances, the hands-on workshops and the various talks where you will learn more about how scientists and futurists envision our future. The Expedition is open from 10 AM to 6 PM and is for free.

The SuperNova Professional summit takes place on September 27 and 28 and features the conference, tech fair, exclusive investor pitching and talentbuzz.

The public SuperNova festival takes place on September 29 and 30 with the free expedition, tech fair and talentbuzz. No ticket is needed during these 2 days.

You can buy a day ticket for SuperNova on September 27 or September 28.

During the weekend, the SuperNova Festival is for free.

Are food and drinks included?Top

Food and drinks are included in your SuperNova pass for September 27 & 28. We are providing quality catering to complete your experience at SuperNova. 

On September 29 & 30, we encourage you to explore the local bars and restaurants around the festival site. There will also be food and drink options available at the Waagnatie or in 2050 Pavilion (only drinks). We accept only cashless payment here.


Where is it?Top

The SuperNova area will cover the entire “Eilandje” area, the port of Antwerp, Belgium. Stretching from the Waagnatie over MAS and Felix Pakhuis to Retail Detail, the festival is hosted at several sites - both indoor and outdoor - and will even include some brand new constructions.

The main event hall for the SuperNova Professional Summit on September 27 & 28 is the Waagnatie at Rijnkaai 150 2000 Antwerp. On the weekend, you can start exploring the Expedition wherever you like. The festival has no entrance or starting point.

Getting thereTop

Het Eilandje of Antwerp will be car-free during the festival. Please avoid Tavernierkaai, Rijnkaai and Godefriduskaai. We advise visitors to use public transport or bike to get to the festival site. Parking near Het Eilandje will not be possible. Plan your route now


Public transport- Train, Tram or Bus and Sint-Annaveer and the Waterbus


Take the train to Antwerp Central. From Antwerp Central you can take bus 17 or 23 to the Noorderplaats stop. From there it is +/- 15 minutes walk to the Waagnatie. In Antwerp Central you can also take the premetro line 3, 5, 9 or 15 up to the Groenplaats. From there, a free shuttle bus runs every half hour towards the event zone. At the Groenplaats you can take a free shuttle bus that takes you to the event zone. This shuttle runs every half an hour. You can also take the tram or bus from De Lijn to one of the stops in the vicinity of the MAS. More information about the timetable and the itinerary can be found here.

Ticket by Text Message 'De Lijn'

Avoid queues at the points of sale. Buy a sms ticket for the bus from the tram. SMS "DL" to 4884. You will receive a confirmation and an SMS ticket. This sms ticket is valid for 1 hour on all trams and buses of De Lijn.


From Linkeroever you can quickly and easily get to the right bank with Sint-Annaveer. The spring is free; it departs from the pontoon on Linkeroever in Thonetlaan and arrives at the Steenplein on the right bank. More information about Sint-Annaveer can be found here.

Take the water bus from Hemiksem or Kruibeke to the Steenplein in Antwerp. Or combine the route with the ferry services Hoboken-Kruibeke and Bazel-Hemiksem. A ticket back and forth costs € 5 and is for sale on board DeWaterbus. More information about DeWaterbus can be found here.

By Car

No parking places will be available at Het Eilandje. We strongly encourage everyone to leave the car at home and make use of alternatives such as public transport. If you come by car you can park on one of the following park & ​​rides:


Via E17 Gent-Antwerpen

  • Exit 16 (Kruibeke / Melsele)
  • Follow signage to P & R Melsele, Krijgsbaan in Melsele
  • At the parking you take tram 3 to stop Groenplaats. From there, a free shuttle bus runs every half hour towards the event zone. 
  • You can also walk to the event zone (+/- 15 minutes walk).

Via E34 Zelzate – Antwerpen

  • Exit 7 (Sint-Anna)
  • Park & ​​Ride Blancefloerlaan 1, 2 and 3, Blancefloerlaan, Antwerp Take tram 3, 5, 9 or 15 to the Groenplaats stop. From there, a free shuttle bus runs every half hour towards the event zone. You can also walk to the event zone (+/- 15 minutes walk)


On parking Slachthuislaan (address: Slachthuislaan 70, 2060 Antwerp) parking places are reserved for Supernova visitors. The price for a parking is 10 € per day. From the parking lot a shuttle bus or a Poppy car will take you to the event zone and back free of charge.

By Foot

Supernova takes place in the entire zone around 'het Eilandje' and extends from the Waagnatie over the MAS and the felix warehouse to Retail Detail. From the center, this zone can be reached on foot via the Scheldt quays, the Falconplein, the Hessenplein or the Leien.

By Bike

Temporary bicycle parking facilities will be provided at the Entrepotkaai.A mobile charge point will also be provided for charging electric bicycles. You can also use one of the following bike sharing systems:
